Description:

The San Diego Suzuki School of Music is a highly regarded private co-op organization seeking additional teachers to fulfill the demand of the area.  Students and parents benefit greatly from learning with teachers of similar styles and varied backgrounds while keeping a common curriculum, high standard of excellence, and a commitment to Suzuki Method principles.

Duties:

Teach year-round weekly individual and group lessons to students aged four and up, beginning through advanced levels.  Individual student load may be full or part-time, as desired.  Assist in organizing and leading school performances, parent meetings, and events. Perform in faculty portion of biannual student recitals.

Qualifications:

Currently, piano, cello, bass and wind instrumental teachers are needed. A Bachelor of Arts in Music (or similar degree) or music minor is preferred.  Required - a working knowledge of music theory, a minimum of Suzuki Association of the Americas registered training through Book 2, a commitment to on-going teacher development, and experience working with young children.
